  44. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

  47. To install the HPPCL5A Printer Driver:
  48.  
  49. 1.  From the Windows 3.1 Program Manager, open Control Panel and Printers.
  50.  
  51. 2.  Choose Add to display the List of Printers menu.
  52.  
  53. 3.  Select the appropriate HP LaserJet III family printer from the List of
  54.     Printers menu (HP LaserJet III, HP LaserJet IIID, HP LaserJet IIIP, or
  55.     HP LaserJet IIISi) and click on Install.
  56.  
  57. 4.  When Windows prompts you to insert a disk containing the HPPCL5A.DRV
  58.     file, enter the location of the driver files and choose OK.
  59.  
  60. 5.  When the printer name appears in the Installed Printers list, choose
  61.     Connect.
  62.  
  63. 6.  From the Ports list, choose the appropriate port and click on OK.
  64.  
  65. 7.  Click on Setup and make any necessary changes in the Setup window to
  66.     reflect your printer's configuration.  Choose OK.

  68. 8.  Click on Set as Default Printer and select Close to complete
  69.     installation of the driver.
